BASIL NUT CAFE & RESTAURANT

Established since 2015, Basil Nut is a Modern South East Asian Restaurant & Cafe  with a relaxing atmosphere in the heart of Katoomba – the tourist center in the Blue Mountains.

We have blended the “Cafe Culture” of the mountains with a modern Asian fusion approach.  Basil Nut provides the “best of both worlds”.

BN Lunch

BN is open for lunch and dinner, 6 days a week (CLOSED TUESDAY ) offering Cafe style coffees, tea and other delicacies including selection of Asian desserts & tarts.  There are flavoursome milkshakes, hot chocolate, ice coffee and all varieties of Coffee and tea to satisfy.  The morning “coffee house”style is blended with the “Modern Asian” cuisine from 12pm when the gourmet burgers, fusion wraps and other “from the wok”creations commence with original tasty Asian flavours.  The coffee of choice at BN is Grinders coffee due to its fruity, smooth taste with a lingering flavour that stays with you.

BN Dinner

At 5pm dinner service, BN is transformed into a Modern Asian Restaurant and serves exotic curries, seafood, wok, noodle, soup, other stir fry and a selection of Asian “street food” including pork belly, soft shell crab, satay chicken, gyoza and other tasty small dishes to be shared or tried as an entree.

“As much as we love living in the Blue Mountains the one thing we miss is really good Asian food. So we were very excited to try Basil Nut. And we were not disappointed! We have now been a number of times for dinner and each dish we have tried has been absolutely delicious – fresh ingredients that are beautifully prepared and presented. Portions are generous too”
